Far from the crowded beaches of the northern part of Koh Lanta Island, the tourist bars and shopping centres of the more developed resorts areas, Bamboo Bay Resort, Koh Lanta lies nestled in a hillside and overlooking Kolanta Island's Ao Mai Pai (Bamboobay), a wide expanse of white sand lapped by the blue waters of the Andaman Sea. As part of Moo Koh Lanta Marine National Park, it remains protected and boasts some of Ko Lanta Yai Island's finest living coral reefs today.

The 21 bungalows of Bamboobay Resort and the restaurant have been built on a hill side, where the surrounding nature provided sufficient space. They are connected by a network of pathways and steps through the plants and trees of southern Koh Lanta Island's rain forests, which we have preserved.

Bamboo Bay Bungalows are located on a hillside at the northern end of Aow Mai Pai on Kohlanta Yai Island. Each bungalow looks out to the Mai Pai Beach with its own private verandah overlooking Bamboo Bay. At Bamboobay Ko Lanta you feel like being alone in a jungle forest overlooking a spectacular seaside setting and the vast expanse of the Andaman Sea. Each bungalow is different from another, built with the least environmental disturbance on the hill side. Bamboo Bay Resort's bungalows offer a good standard of framily accomodation and sea-view accommodation but vary in size to sleep between 2 to 6 people in comfort.

Seaview bungalows at Bamboobay Koh Lanta are fitted with double or twin beds and can take one extra bed, while family bungalows at Bamboo Beach Resort have 2 rooms, one with a double bed and the second bedroom with two twin beds and one common bathroom. They can take 1 extra bed in each bed room. Each Bamboo Bay Bungalow is fitted with fans to augment the fresh sea breeze. Reading light, shelf cupboard and hanging rail offer additional convenience during a stay in Bamboo Bay Resort Kolanta. The western style en-suite bathrooms have hot water shower.

The Bamboo Bay Restaurant overlooks the Andaman Sea of Koh Lanta Yai Island with a large balcony facing west to view the spectacular sunsets over Mai Pai Bay.
